Travels/ day one

Day one. this has been a long day. It is difficult to think that just this afternoon I was having lunch with my grandma. The plane was fine, I sat next to a nice lady. After the flight we got on two trains and then another train to take us to the three hour train that would take us to kings hotel. Before boarding the last train,we passed the honorary harry potters train stop 9 3/4 which was neat. I am tired. The town where we are staying is very historical and really cool. It is near water so it smells like sea salt and there are a lot of seagulls. Our rooms were a little late getting ready so my first beer was on the house! We got a tour of the hotel and it was made clear that this town has seen a lot of blood and a lot of history. Charles Dickenson gave his first public reading of the Christmas carol in the hotel and the Beatles stayed in the room I am staying in. Naturally, the first thing I had to eat at the hotel was fish and chips and cheesecake. Yes. We could barely hold our eyes open at eight so we went to bed early, but I am paying for it now. Drunk people on the street woke me up at 2:30 and now I'm wide awake. Good thing we have a giant packet of reading :) all in all, first day was good, but I am feeling a little homesick. I think that comes standard.

Boarding

Just about to board the plane. Getting nervous but excited about plane food. Not really. Here we go :)
